Brenton Harrison, CFP®
Brenton Harrison is the founder of New Money New Problems, a virtual financial advisory firm serving the needs of first—and second-generation high-income earners.
With over 15 years of experience in financial services, Brenton built his expertise (and found his passion) helping graduate, medical, and dental students navigate student loan debt and early career challenges at the historically black colleges in his native Nashville. After being an associate advisor for 12 years at Henderson Financial Group, Brenton left to establish New Money New Problems in 2022.
Brenton contributes to Investopedia and has been featured in publications ranging from Business Insider to CNBC, Fortune Magazine, and more. He has received several industry and community awards and volunteers for the CFP Board’s scholarship review panel, in addition to charitable efforts in his hometown.
Brenton resides in Nashville with his wife and son, and he spends whatever time he can away from the office trying to progress from being a bad golfer to being a serviceable golfer.
