Enforcement Updates
A compilation of updates outlining CFP Board's work to strengthen enforcement of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct.
Over the past several years, CFP Board updated the ethical standards for CFP® professionals — our Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct, which became effective October 2019 and has been enforced since June 2020 — and has invested significant resources, both financially and operationally, to strengthen the enforcement of the Code and Standards. As our work to strengthen our enforcement processes has continued, CFP Board has shared frequent updates with CFP® professionals and other stakeholders.
